The carrier to provide free quick in-flight wifi via space-based agreement
Flyers aboard British Airways can soon use quick internet during flights free of charge after a new deal from the billionaire's space firm.
Complimentary plus Quick Internet Available to Everyone
British Airways stated that the no-cost, “fast and dependable” connectivity provision through SpaceX becomes offered to passengers flying economy, business, or premium cabins starting the coming month.
Broad Implementation Over Multiple Airlines
The umbrella company of the airline, IAG, confirmed it had secured an deal involving SpaceX to provide connectivity coverage across 500-plus jets within their airlines, including Aer Lingus, Iberia, and the low-cost airline.
Seamless Internet starting at Boarding to Landing
British Airways explained that the introduction for this system was included in a multi-billion pound “modernization” program and will provide lag-free internet coverage for travelers starting at the gate through landing, even when traveling over seas or remote regions.
Customers will be able to link numerous electronics while won't need to need a separate access code.

Present Internet Services
Basic internet service is currently provided to British Airways travelers across most of their planes through its .air system.
Members in BA’s frequent flyer program may transmit texts plus plain-text emails onboard free of charge, while travelers looking to access music, movies, or films during the journey who are not travelling in business or first can expect to pay between four pounds ninety-nine to twenty-one pounds ninety-nine per wifi plan.
